#EXISTINPHOTOS It's a movement. It's a movement I am fierce about. You see, I have this portrait hanging in my studio. It's my most treasured portrait I've ever had taken. It stands above my wedding photos. It stands out above any and every picture that's ever been taken of me. It's a portrait of me and my girls. As long as I can remember, I just wanted to be a mom. I wanted a family. I am a nurturer and these are my most prized accomplishments in life. I carried them within, I nursed them back to health when they were sick; I kissed their boo-boos and applied sponge bob "boo-baids"; I listened as they cried about boyfriends and best friends and stroked their hair letting them know I would always be there to listen. All too soon, it seemed like I was lacing the backs of their wedding gowns and sending them off into the world to become a part of their own families.
That's why this one portrait... the one that hangs proudly by the front door in my studio, is my most favorite. It captured a time when life was simple for them. Their biggest concern was what to wear that day. They were assured at that moment in time that whatever came their way, Mom would always be able to fix it.
Cherish this time with your children, for it passes far too quickly.
